Pre-K Teacher

Pre-k Teacher Position:

Do you enjoy working with children ages 3-5? IC3 is now hiring a pre-k teacher. Help children become independent, self-confident, enthusiastic learners. Teach children in a professional, supportive work environment. Minimum of related Associate Degree. Bachelor’s Degree and experience preferred. Full Time, M-F, benefits eligible.

Ideal candidate will

  • be able to establish and maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment
  • have the ability to design and implement an age appropriate classroom/learning environment
  • have the ability to appropriately and productively respond to the needs of both the children and parents in the classroom
  • use development assessment tools
  • have team-oriented problem solving skills
  • be committed to serving all others in the community with the needs of the children coming first
  • be committed t to professional growth and development
  • abide by OCFS regulations
  • be responsible, reliable, and dependable
  • have clear, direct communication style (written and verbal)

Salary depends on education and experience.  Salary range is $23,500-$28,400

Infant/Toddler & Pre-K Teacher Assistant

Do you love working with children ages 8 weeks-3 years old? The Ithaca Community Childcare Center (IC3) is now hiring an infant/toddler teacher assistant. Work Monday-Friday 12:00-5:30. Minimum of high school diploma required. CDA or equivalent (12 college credits in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or EC Special Ed.) preferred. $11.25 – $12.25 per hour depending on education. Benefits eligible with paid holidays, paid vacation and paid sick days.

Substitutes:

Ithaca Community Childcare Center (IC3) is now hiring substitute teachers. Must enjoy working with young children 8 weeks- 11 years old. Substitutes are used on an on call basis Monday-Friday 7:30am-5:30pm and may work in our infant, toddler, pre-k, or after school programs. If there is a day or part of a day that you can’t work we won’t call you. It may be a pre-scheduled shift or may be scheduled the night or morning of the shift. Availability M-F 12:00-5:30 two or three days per week preferred. High School Diploma required. Experience working in a school, preschool, camp or child care setting preferred.  $11.40 – $12.10/hr.
