Pre-k Teacher Assistant:

Do you love working with children ages 3-5? The Ithaca Community Childcare Center (IC3) is now hiring a pre-k teacher assistant. Work Monday-Friday 12:00-5:30. Minimum of high school diploma required. CDA or equivalent (12 college credits in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or EC Special Ed.) preferred. $9.45 – $10.45 per hour depending on education. Benefits eligible with paid holidays, paid vacation and sick.

Ideal candidate will:

  • be able to maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment
  • assist teachers with designing and implementing an age appropriate classroom/learning environment
  • have the ability to appropriately and productively respond to the needs of both the children and parents in the classroom
  • have team-oriented problem solving skills
  • abide by OCFS regulations
  • be responsible, reliable, and dependable
  • have clear, direct communication style (written and verbal)
Substitutes:

Must enjoy working with young children 8 weeks- 10 years old. Substitutes are used on an on call basis. Hours are flexible. If there is a day or part of a day that you can’t work we won’t call you. You set your schedule. It may be a pre-scheduled shift or may be scheduled the night or morning of the shift. High School Diploma required. Experience preferred. $9.70/hr.
