Kids’ Book Fest

The Family Reading Partnership organizes a Kids’ Book Fest every year in November. The festival offers a variety of free activities and entertainment for children centered on books. Each year’s activities revolve around a theme, a specific author, and a book based on the theme. IC3 is a regular participant in the Kid’s Book Fest, offering book-related hands on activities for children at the festival.

Ithaca Festival Parade

The Ithaca Festival is a four day music and arts celebration held the Thursday-Sunday after Memorial Day. Each year, IC3 participates in the Ithaca Festival parade kicking off the weekend’s festivities. The Ithaca Festival is a time for local community groups, artists, musicians, and performers to get together and “celebrate the artist in everyone.” IC3 parents, children, and staff look forward making decorations and dressing up to march in the parade each year!

Giving Tuesday

Dec. 3, 2024 | All Day

GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past seven years, it has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts and everyone has something to give. IC3 participates in Giving Tuesday with a 24 hour giving campaign,  which occurs the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and kicks off the giving season. #GivingTuesday

Things on Wheels, Truck Show for Kids

June 5, 2023 | 4-8PM

Our “Things on Wheels” truck show is geared toward bringing families together for a fun community event at IC3. Things on Wheels is an annual event held each June. We invite families to have hands on experience with a large variety of interesting vehicles. Some popular vehicles include police cars, school buses, ambulances, fire trucks, big rigs, and a cement mixer where children can climb and explore in the driver’s seat. Another popular attraction is the Ithaca City Police Department SWAT bus. Children can take a tour with SWAT personnel, sit in the driver’s seat as well as experiment with the many on board cameras pointed in various locations throughout our parking lot. We also offer food, a bounce house, and our giant 24 foot slide! It’s a can’t miss family event!
